Print Shop Products

  • Our Print Shop partner lab offers a fully carbon neutral service. It calculates the carbon emissions caused by order deliveries and offsets the emissions by investing in renewable energy projects.

  • Our Print Shop Prints are c-type prints are printed on Fuji crystal archive paper and processed with Fuji chemistry. Fuji’s production processes operate exclusively on wind energy and they also generate their own energy with five wind turbines and a large afterburner. They have also pioneered a water purification plant with adjoining companies. Fujifilm adheres to regulation using the S class system that places restrictions on those substances that can and potentially do pose threats to the environment and public health. In recent years there has been an emphasis into the considerations of animal welfare by actively working to engineer different test methods whilst collaborating on research into skin sensitivity. We are aware that the c-type process uses a precious metal, silver as its fundamental component to achieve high quality photographic prints. Silver is the raw material used to make the light sensitive emulsion that is suspended on the paper to generate photographic prints. The silver residue and by-products of the photographic process are valuable raw materials, so they are extracted and recycled after the prints have been made.

  • Our Print Shop frames are made from FSC®-certified wood. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. The Oak frames are solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an Oak veneer.

  • All Print Shop packaging used for customer orders is a mixture of sustainably sourced, recyclable or biodegradable materials.

Bespoke Wall Art Products

Our Bespoke Wall Art partner lab uses an Eco-Pack range for its wall products and framing, designed to:

  • Prioritise environmentally friendly materials.

  • Maximise the use of recycled content.

  • Optimise packaging space to reduce emissions by allowing couriers to transport more efficiently.

  • Enhance product protection in transit.

The use of new state-of-the-art corrugated cardboard packaging machinery has enabled our partner lab to create custom-sized packaging for each individual order as it moves through production, eliminating the need for plastic void fill.

This has led to:

  • A 99% reduction in plastic packaging.

  • The elimination of warehouse storage for large quantities of pre-made packaging.

  • The use of 100% recycled and 100% recyclable corrugated cardboard for all packaging.

In addition to the outer cardboard packaging, the products are protected in a thin layer of plastic film and, in the case of the acrylic products, a thin layer of foam wrap to protect the delicate surface. The soft plastic should be recyclable at most larger supermarkets. The foam is currently not recyclable. However, our partner lab is constantly striving to seek alternative ways and materials to protect the products, that are as environmentally friendly as possible.
